During the last Nintendo Direct, I will admit that they sold me on the New Nintendo 3DS XL. It was a combination of the shiny new features and the gorgeous design of the special Majora’s Mask Edition of the system that made me immediately go out and preorder the handheld. Now that I have it in my hands, the question becomes whether or not the new features make a big difference to the system. Exactly how new does the New Nintendo 3DS XL feel? Let’s go through each of the new features one at a time to find out.
I’ve been meaning to do a Bonus Scare video of this one for a while, but never got around to it. Since I’m out of the country right now, I thought it would be a great time to finally take a look at Among the Sleep. Now join me on this clearly Rugrats–inspired acid trip through the world from the eyes of an infant.
From the beginning, it was easy to see that the StreetPass feature on the Nintendo 3DS was one of the more innovative and interesting features the handheld brought to the table. Since then, it has received updates in the way of some new games and a seemingly never-ending set of puzzle pieces to collect. This has me carrying my handheld around any time I know I’m going to be near others who may make that green light, indicating a new pass, turn on. AVAdventure Productions feels the same way and is attempting to take it to the next level with a one day round trip bus tour from Washington D.C. up to the Nintendo World Store in New York City.
