Jackbox Games has been putting out some quality party games for some time now. I would eve go as far as to say that they revolutionized the party video game genre with the release of the original Fibbage. After several new entries, there’s always the chance that they could be running out of ideas. Not every pack of games has been lived up to the high highs of the series as a whole, but I am pleased to report that The Jackbox Party Pack 5 has some fresh new games that keep me convinced that Jackbox Games still has the magic touch in creating awesome party games. Let’s go through each of the entries in The Jackbox Party Pack 5 individually to discuss what makes each of them great.
When The Jackbox Party Pack first came out, it revolutionized how multiplayer video games could work at parties. So long as everyone had some kind of smart device, anyone could pick up and play the simple and addictively fun games. As new entries have arrived, there has been a mixed bag of as Jackbox Games has experimented with the formula. Coming off of what was, in my opinion, the best suite of games thus far with The Jackbox Party Pack 3, there was a lot to live up to for The Jackbox Party Pack 4. Some games suffer from overcomplicated rules, but largely this is another fun pack of games that any group can enjoy.
Revolutionizing local multiplayer by allowing smartphones to be used as controllers, The Jackbox Party Pack has been a staple for nearly every party I’ve thrown since it came out. None of the collections had been perfect yet though, as there were always a few duds in each pack. Sporting the best selection of games yet, The Jackbox Party Pack 3 is now available and might just be the selection I boot up here on out whenever I have folks over. Sporting four brand new games alongside my personal favorite returning game, let’s break each of them down one by one in no particular order.
Ever since revolutionizing local multiplayer games with The Jackbox Party Pack, Jackbox Games has been releasing a fairly steady stream of new titles in the series. If you own that first game, you’re probably familiar with the drawing game included in the package entitled Drawful. To stave off the hungry fans this summer, before they release The Jackbox Party Pack 3 this fall, Jackbox Games has released a sequel to one of the better games from that original package. Drawful 2 takes some of the concepts from the original and expands upon them smartly, adding not only new prompts, but a slew of new features to entertain guests at your next big party.
